Ron Harris is a Canadian citizen, an ordained minister since 1986, and a member of the Association of Certified Biblical Counsellors (NANC).
Ron sees the last seventeen years of his ordained ministry in Kiev, Ukraine, as the climax of gracious God’s education and preparation for the creation of a systematic practical theological program and curriculum which are used by ICI “Coram Deo”.
In 1986 he got PhD in Biblical Counselling at Westminster Theological Seminary, became a member of the US largest Biblical Counselling organization, and was ordained. In 2002 Ron with his wife Linda moved to Kiev to become a pioneer of the first official Biblical Counselling program in the former Soviet Union.
During ten years before that Ron was involved in pastoral and counselling ministries in Ontario, Canada, and Florida, USA. Then he did Biblical counselling in his native region west of Toronto, Canada. After living in Kiev for seven years, Ron and Linda returned to Canada and from there continued to support and train ICI “Coram Deo” leaders in other countries, teaching them a wise practical application of Scripture to a wide specter of human problems. While working with ICI founders, Ron completed the formation of this growing ministry by adding to this three-year program of 12 modules Comfort training and organizing a valuable system of team counselling in ‘real time’ known as Cabinet.
Living in Canada now Ron continues to support the leaders in ministry on their request and enjoys the spiritual fruit of his three children and ten grandchildren. Ron’s hobby is to cook – Slavic dishes, of course!
