In 2010 I was excommunicated from the church.
I fell in love with an unbeliever and married him despite numerous admonitions and warnings. I clearly lacked the fear of God. Therefore, I turned away from the Lord and excluded Him from my life.
At the time I believed that if God had been against that marriage, He would have prevented it. I was proud and stubborn and I served my own selfish desires.
Counselling helped me understand the way things really were. I worshipped an idol in my heart, doing everything to earn the recognition of people.
It was terrifying to come to grips with my spiritual state. After an intensive inner struggle, after many sleepless nights and many prayers I finally repented.
God has forgiven me and now I live with Him.
My life changed, my husband and I started attending worship services and our children – Sunday School classes. My personal life has also changed. Now I regularly read the Bible, listen to sermons, pray, and I have begun to attend a small group for women. I have been restored as a member of the church.
In June of 2018 my husband accepted Jesus and it seems like a true miracle to me – I still cannot believe it.
I am awed by the absolutely undeserved mercy and patience God has shown me.
